Dollar General Regional Literacy Symposium

Thanks to a generous grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, Reading Connections and the Piedmont Triad Partnership were able to hold a Piedmont Triad Lifelong Learning Symposium on April 9th.

80 leaders from the fields of education, business, and government attended the half-day session to learn more about how to promote and advocate for lifelong learning and economic development in the 12-county Piedmont Triad region. Marsha Tait and Jackie Taylor from the National Coalition for Literacy facilitated workshop sessions designed to help participants develop a vision for lifelong learning in the region.

The National Coalition for Literacy helps promote literacy through advocacy, research, and training.
